Endorphin Fix CP26

This question was asked over at Trailblazers. So what the heck. I'll put up an answer here.


Here's how I get to an estimate of CP26 being almost a mile from the plot point.


This first picture uses the lower level satellite imagery available on Yahoo! but for some reason not on Google.


Circled in Red is the location the master map provided for CP26. Highlighted in purple is the farm where the paved section of the road ended and the heavily rutted section of dirt road up the mountain began. And finally, highlighted in Blue is the location of the hairpin curve above the farm where the CP26 flagging was actually located.

The second image below shows the output from Google maps using the distance calculator. 4,675 feet calculates to roughly .885 miles.
